Self Involved

I will be the first to say that i love a good charity. Whats better then helping people who sometimes are not able to help themselves? Some people do it more for fame then for the good will of fellow men. But no matter how they do it the good thing is its getting done. Now i have a problem with Charity's. I know it sounds bad but let me explain. I feel like Charity's are full of crap. The reason why i think that way, because who wants a person handing you money like you are a child. Now i get it desperate times call for desperate measures, and sometimes you have to do what you have to in order to be able to feed yourself and your family. But to go and look for help it seems like mama is handing you money out of her purse and looking at you like you have made a mess of your life. Some Charity's even refuse to help. And some just pocket the money themselves. When you are donating to a cause. You are basically handing your money off to a group of people who then feels like they will distribute the money to whom ever they seem fit. People give money and just walk away thinking they did a good thing not knowing in the end if there good deed ever went noticed by the people who needed it the most. Its sad to see people donating to the cause and the cause is still around. If this country is as rich as they claim that they are why are people still out on the street? Why are kids still feeling like nobodies inside of foster homes? Why are people still dying of aids and cancers.( Charity's that people have been donating to for years). Why haven't they done anything.(lets not be fair with cancer they are trying there best). But I I still had to watch my mom fade away to nothing. Were was all the Charities then? And why wont people stop being lazy, step away from your cozy lifestyle, and look at your fellow man and don't just hand off money. Get involved.
